I feel like poison in the well of humanity. It is a wonder anyone talks to me. I am comfortable with this role, however.

maybe it's time for humanity to be poisoned...
i was talking to my mom last night who is a Jehovah's Witness. they believe in the coming of an armageddon which is to be followed by a new order of sorts. i am not a witness myself but every once in a while, i wonder if it's true. i wonder if it's true and if it's ever going to come. i remember sitting in church (witnesses call it kingdom hall) thinking about this promised "new order." never in my wildest dreams would i have thought that this world would survive to see the year 2000. here we are nearing 2010. i ask myself just how bad it has to get. when will it be officially armageddon?

i sound like a crazy person.

Here's a worse thought: What if there is no armageddon?

along those lines, i asked my mom if she ever doubted because i for one have no evidence that there will be an armageddon. revelations has got a lot going for it but at the end i'm still wondering "how bad does it have to get." anyway, she said no, she doesn't doubt. my mom's a stud. i wish i had that kind of conviction. i doubt (and question) all the time...that's why i have no religion. i feel no true connection or hopefulness that there will be an armageddon, to tell you the truth. what i do believe is that some day, i will die and this will all be over. i don't have to hope for that...it's veritably true. that's kind of enough for me on most days.

Uh, humanity was poisoned long, long, long, long before any of us were born. Just ask Jesus.

Y'all have any Cheez-Its?

I have no religion. Take no gods. Is there an end coming? Yeah, but not what we're expecting, I think.
