Humboldt Fleischhaus

It's out. My third novel. Humboldt Fleischhaus. Those expecting another Nothing Men or Black Devil Spine will be disappointed. I don't like to repeat. Yes, this one is dark. Yes, this one is set in Humboldt County (for the most part). Yes, there is deviance, transgression, and a goat. Yes, it is part of #HumboldtHorror. But it's a different vibe, you know? It leaves something witchy.

Google has pretty much destroyed my blogging. I can no longer make money from it due to TOS violations or some such nonsense. And, honestly, my writing kind of keeps me away from it. That said, I will still hit it up when the mood strikes, like now. I was never in this for the money, but what little I got from affiliate sales was a nice bonus in my life. Now? Now I just get to vote in Google's business practices and always demand full transparency. If you can't beat it, join it and change it from within.

What's next? The next Sinful Cinema book. I didn't publish one last year because this one is bigger than the others and far more in-depth. It is a special one, and I think it will really please people. What film is it on? Just wait. I will say it involves a creative use of a razor blade.

And . . . I'm in the early stages of a sequel of sorts and a book of (mostly) unpublished short stories. Funsies. Soon, when I'm done at my 9-5, I'll be able to really get in deep. I like to think I won't be waking up at 4:30 to write anymore, but I probably will. The world is at its quietest. The dark thoughts are more easily heard. The coffee is good. Everything is better when the world is silent.

If you get the new book, enjoy. If you do a podcast or run a site where you review such things or do interviews, hit me up. I'm more than willing to get you a review copy or conduct an interview. Just make it interesting. I've been told I'm a fun interview. Imagine that . . .
